A UFC light heavyweight title fight between Rashad Evans and Quinton “Rampage” Jackson is in the works for the main event at UFC 96 on March 7 from the Nationwide Arena in Columbus, Ohio, according to MMAMania.

Rampage got the ball rolling by calling out Rashad shortly after knocking out Wanderlei Silva at UFC 92 “The Ultimate”.

If they go trough with it. It's going to be one hell of a main event. Both guys are wicked KO artist and use similar fighting styles. One that is an up and commer athlete and the other one who is just a killing machine. I think it would make for an awesome fight, but i'd have to give the edge to Rampage. He just looks absolutely hungry right now.

I like both of them, but Rashad fights like Ken-Flo on the defensive a lot, I hope Rampage doesn't get frustrated and reckless. Kudos UFC for picking the right fight. I hope Jardine gets a crack at Rampage if he wins. (He trains with Rashad)
