Its amazing how fighters continue to put up with crappy fight purses. MMAjunkie reported that UFC made 3M off of gate. They made countless more off of their pay-per-view. Im sure they could of afford to pay their co-main event star Anthoney Johnson more that $17,000. After taxes, agent, cornermen take their cut he must be left with scraps.

UFC are crooks. Pay your fighters!

Tito was the biggest name on the card. His name warrents his pay.

I dont think he's washed up either. If he can ever get healthy, and thats a big if, he should be a contender.

unbelievable that they're just raking in the doe w/ these crappy cards and getting away w/ murder paying these tough, hard training sons of guns that step into the cage, pennies.

strikeforce, dream, and M-1 global will take over!!!!

The card was horrible. The only reason i watched it was because my friend ordered it and even then i wanted to recommend him to save his money.

Good card

Dude this was a good card. Luiz Cane gets knocked out, Marcus Davis gets KO'ed, Anthony Johnson gets submitted, a slug fest between Amir & Phil, Dent gets arm barred, Larson gets stopped, I don't know what more you could ask for, and the fights that did go to a decision were good solid fights, including the main card. I don't know what you guys are complaining about, but I do agree with you that they need to pay their fighters more alot more.

Not enough money
written by DangerDad, November 24, 2009
I agree that these guys aren't getting paid well enough. 6 or 8 G's is not enough for a person to be professional. If that fighter fights 3 times in a year, that's only 18 to 24 grand, add on some sponsorships and that's still not a whole lot.

I also agree with MMA FAN. Great card for true lovers of the sport but for casual fans i guess they just dont get it.

Im very surprised that the UFC continually gets away with robbery to these poor fighters. Seriously something has to be done and fast.
