Holy s**t. That was crisp, fast and accurate. If this Nate Marquardt shows up to fight Anderson Silva, we may see Anderson lose. That's just me. When Anderson lost his fights it was because they mixed up the fight, between the feet and the ground, Nate's a well rounded guy, and so is Henderson, who knows who will win.

nate is a real classy and good fighter but for your info...hes not at silvas level...but i would love to see nate fight dan herderson or rich franklin...they would be real good match-ups for nate.

Guess we have a great start to 2010 ufc's Ultimate Knock-out #8

not sure which knock out i liked better though, Nate Marquardt's or when Hendersen knocked out Bisping (now that i think of it..) has to be Hendersen, cause he finally shut bisping big f@*&%g mouth!!!!

Is great until you get punched in the face and can't eat it. I was personally getting tired of people juicing up Maia as the second coming of Joyce. Where does he go from here?

It's Royce, pernounced Yoyce. It was just his first lost, and he's a good fighter, he got caught, he'll be back. His kicks looked good till he got caught.

After his "Ultimate Combo" and now this 1 hit KO, and his classiness. Even if he's not at Silva's level, I want him to have a shot, 'casue there's no one I'd rather see have the 185 then Nate.

yeah, maia had been submitting guys like nate quarry, jason macdonald, and ed herman so I don't know what all the fuss was about to begin with.

I think it was the fact that he was submitting these guys very easy. He made smooth transitions and caught them. And you say those names like they're nobodies, they were tough for his first few fights. He'll be back. Nate got his ass dominated in his fight with Anderson. What did he do, he got better and he's been on a tear. He acutally should've won that fight with Thelis. So Maia could get better or he'll get caught again.

UFC problems...
written by scomar, August 31, 2009
Each weight class is stacked to some point waiting for title shots. There are only title shots every 4-5 months or so, especially in cases like the 155's. Maia losses, now you have Nate and Hendo in line @ 185. Who knows who else will come along, especially if its a competitive 205'er drops and it looks like a ticket seller. Look at the Heavies and Brock. Brock got a title shot fast, and backed up the rest of the pack. One loss seems to set these guys back for years. Nate fought Silva 2+ years ago, if he losses again where does he go?

Agreed. It was the problem with Rich Franklin, they didn't want see him lose three times to the same guy, so he moved up in weight. In Nate's case there might not be a Silva vs Marquardt 2 because Anderson's last two fights might be at lightheavy weight assuming he wins or loses to Hendo. Okami is still in the mix he had a set back against Rich and he's been kicking ass ever since, so it really is up to Anderson, if he fights his last two fights after his tittle defnse at Light heavy weight. nate could be fighting dan or Anderson.
