Wow, that is all I can say. He was out on the first drop. If it wasn't stopped there, should have on the second drop. There is no reason that should of happened. There are a lot of "early" stops, but this was way, way late.

Makes me wonder if Yves was looking back at the Kos fight where he told the ref "too soon" and took that a bit too seriously and tried to give Drago a chance when he clearly should have been watching out for his safety. Hope he is well and Dana really puts his foot down with these terrible refs.

Yes but with al the crap about the stopage in the Kosh fight. The refs sees it from one point of veiw and in real time it would be hard to say if a fightr could continue or not some have amazing re-couporation and others not so. Look at the same card with Carwin man I thought he was toast then 30 secs later he was the only one standing. Yes I think the fight was slow to be stoped but the ref gets to see it once in real and make a choice. And as for the comment about Dana putting his foot down, what is that going to do the officials are not picked they are allocated by commisions.

Matt Brown is one classy SOB. Pete Sell was on queer street after that second batch of knees and if you look closely Brown pulled back on almost every shot because he knew Sell was done. Pete Drago Sell you are one tough SOB but at somepoint you just have to cut your losses someone could have gotten seriously hurt! Yves Lavigne should be reprimanded for that one. Was he on crack!

Yeah, I'm with you guys. Lavigne needs serious reprimanding, or he needs to lose his job. Sell didn't even know who he was after he hit the mat the first time. We were in a sports bar watching this fight, and grown ass men were near tears when this s**t went down. Sad.

this is what happens when a previous UFC had LIKE ALL of their fights stopped prematurely. Don't you guys get pissed when fights get stopped too early? Like when a guy gets rocked and has NO chance to recover? it's a bloody fight , thats why these guys are fighters, they're not little b***hes. stop whining. Yeah Drago was gettin his butt whipped, but at no point was he ever out out, he was still trying to get up and fight, maybe not intelligently but dammit we need a little more punishment!

i agree with everybody, it should have been stopped earlier but i cannot blame yves for what he didnt do which is stop the fight. in ufc 95, fights were stopped way too early, and even the commentators agreed. i'm sure that had something to do with it. being a ref is tough, your watching out for the fighters safety but then again they are refs, they are hired by and instructed by the ppl who run this event.

for the idiot that stated that he got up and need more punishment you're a moron. this isnt boxing where they are given a standing 8 count to regain composure if you get rocked and the guy keep pouncing on you you could end up with brain damage which is why the fights are called for their own health you idiots need to learn what mma is about its not about just knockout and punishments
