Sources close to Brock Lesnar's camp informed Heavy.com that Lesnar will not be able to participate in the postponed main event of UFC 108 against Shane Carwin.

Lesnar has battled an undisclosed illness for the past month that forced him to withdraw from a scheduled title defense against Carwin at UFC 106. The bout was rescheduled for UFC 108, but Heavy.com learned earlier this week that Lesnar has not recovered from the illness and cannot train at even a moderate page without quickly becoming exhausted.

And

According to Sensei Sportv’s blog, Nogueira’s manager confirmed that the Brazilian, Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira (32-5-1 MMA, 3-1 UFC) set for UFC 108 will face the undefeated heavyweight Cain Velasquez (7-0 MMA, 5-0 UFC) at UFC 108, which takes place at January 2.
Rumored card so far
- Cain Velasquez vs. Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira
- Rashad Evans vs. Thiago Silva
- Junior Dos Santos vs. Gabriel Gonzaga
- Carlos Condit vs. Paul Daley
- Tyson Griffin vs. Jim Miller
- Martin Kampmann vs. Rory Markham
- Joe Lauzon vs. Sam Stout
- Dan Lauzon vs. Cole Miller
- Ryan Jensen vs. Mark Munoz
- Jake Ellenberger vs. Mike Pyle

Tickets go on sale in what, a week an a half? Considering that Lesnar bailed (again) they set up a pretty good main event to take the place of the heavyweight showdown... Feel bad for Carwin though, he's been waiting for that title shot for quite a while now and now he's still waiting.

I completely disagree with this, Brock backs out again, to illness though so its understandable... but really? the title is being sat on and heavy weight contenders keep walking up the ranks without getting what they deserve? Cain Velesquez against Big Nog? Not bad, but Cain has been working the ranks for a bit now and isn't getting much in return. Rashad Evans vs. Thiago Silva is not bad, but Rashad was suppose to fight in a number one contender match with Rampage, He should be on the sidelines to fight the winner of Shogun and Machida's rematch.
