Gsp he is good in the ground or standing so i would give it to Gsp but never know!! if u watch the fight gsp dominated thiago in the ground pretty close if he gos toe to toe henderson it was a pretty good match.

whatever the case. GSP took alves apart. you guys can talk all you want but GSP is a complete fighter. he didnt look very scared to rest of the world. they did plenty of standing in this fight too.

we all knew gsp would take thiago down. he did stand with thiago and that set up his strategy which was ground and pound. he made thiago think twice before going in for kicks and punches. very impressing to me.

GSP's fight was GREAT.... his timing was insane use of the ring and movement was great he completly shut Thiago off
and that is huge for u out there that dont understand.......
what he did tonight was huge Thiago is a great fighter and to control the fight like that is amazing...for you guys who swing from other fighters nut that is how a champ acts

ok..anyone who says he's scared to standup against thiago, is right! however, why the hell would anyone want to try and stand up agaisnt thiago alves? If you have the skills to do it why wouldn't you go for it? and it's nto that he's scared it's cuz he respects thiago's standup. you see an opening you go for it. Thiago has beaten guys who are great ground/wrerstlign fighters like Hughes and koschek but he didn't beat GSP. What does that tell you?

GSP and Alves are great fighters. I was hoping that Alves would have been a little more of a challenge for GSP.

GSp fought smart, I was a little disapointed that he didn't stand more, he looks more like the old GSP but with better hands. Thiago I think focused to much on standing and should fought better off his back. GSP could get beaten there is always someone better, we just have to wait and see, maybe not now but eventually. He still looked great though.

Not only did gsp dominate on the ground.He also dominated on the feet.All of you saying gsp didnt earn the win are pathetic people who know nothing about competition and mma.Gsp will be the champ for a long time!
