Helio Gracie founder of Gracie Jui-Jitsu has died in his home in Rio de Janeiro, on January 29 at the age of 95. He was the father of the legendary fighters Rickson Gracie, Royler Gracie, Relson Gracie, UFC co-founder Rorion Gracie and First UFC champion Royce Gracie.

Helio Gracie:

Why fear death? I don’t need anything, I don’t have anything, I don’t want anything. I think it’s silly for somebody to be scared of dying. One should be afraid of being born. I have already told my children when I die I want a party, with no alcohol, no hell raising [general laughter]. But I want a party with music, food… I don’t know if you guys believe in reincarnation, but we all go and come back until the day we no longer have to return. My brother [Carlos Gracie, already deceased] used to say the fellow only stops returning to Earth when he mingles with the Whole. Even when you’re thinking just a little bit wrongly, you come back to continue evolving. Hell, my friends, is right here on Earth.[GracieFighter]

Helio was a savage, he might be old, But I bet he still be getting does young guys in his classes in a arm bar, and out mount them. Two weeks ago he was the only 10 degree black belt alive.....legend

I take BJJ at a school run by one of Relson students, and Relson regularly comes up. I can say with some confidence Helio would have f**ked you up brettsky2002, more so..I'll murder you on the mats. So shut your damn mouth. Your mother should have aborted you.
