UFC President Dana White tells EdgeBoston.com that he envisions Fedor Emelianenko becoming a possible addition to his heavyweight division.

“I would never cross-promote. Regarding Fedor, he either wants to come over and fight here or he doesn’t. If he came over and wanted to fight I’d do a deal with him in a minute. You know we’ve been chasing him since we bought Pride. In my opinion, I think it’s going to happen. He’d be crazy not to. I mean, why not? He’ll come over here and make a bunch of money and maybe even win the title and go down in history as the greatest heavyweight ever. The problem is it’s one thing for everyone to say it, I mean I can say, “Brock is the greatest heavyweight ever” but they have got to fight. It’s the only way to find out. We can argue about it all day but in the end you just have got to get out there and fight.”

He is crazy if he thinks Fedor will go with him, Fedor is the greatest already and the UFC is not needed to legitimize that.

Come on ... how insulting is this to Randy Couture, who defended his belt more times than Brock stood in the octagon totally and Dana already brands him "Greatest Ever" ...

MMA might be a new big sport, but the international MMA fans are not so easily brainwashed as the US-fans. Stop pushing wannabee MMA masters en put in some real MMA OWNERS in the UFC ...

I don't think dana was saying he believes Brock is the best heavy weight ever. He is saying you can't compare apples to apples until two guys fight each other...and Andre and Uriah both fight/fought for the UFC. WEC = UFC

Fedor is the best lbs 4 lbs fighter. He wont sign with an unprofessional asshole like Danna who wont let anybody fight anywhere else but in the UFC. On that note Danna only schedules 2 fights every year and a half. Fedor fights more than just twice in over a year. Strikeforce, Affliction, DREAM, etc..... will let thier fighters fight in other Orginazations. Get a real president who is professional and doesnt cuss in front of children who love the sport just like other pro athletes/promoters like Basebal.Basketball they wouldn't except in unprofessional behavior. UFC will live and die by Danna

Fedor has to prove NOTHING to Dana or the UFC. If you look at the guys he beat. They are all legends and most of them he beat more than one time. No one has a track record that comes even close to Fedors. To me the last real challange before beating EVERY single dominating veteran would be beating Josh Barnett as that man is one hell of a fighter himself.

Dana is very quick to call his fighters the best "..." in the world. And truth be told the UFC has very few fighter that are from outside the U.S at all.

Danas antics also lose the UFC alot of growing! Fedor and other greats will not work for an arrogant asshole like Dana! They have ethics,values,and beliefs that Dana and his pride and ego dont support! That is why congressmen and politicians will not allow MMA into their state as well! Dana has been good for business overall but in the long run his mouth will be his downfall!

Fedor needs to stop beating up on washed up UFC vets and fight heavyweights at thier prime. Fedor is a great fighter but we cant sit here and say the fighters he has beaten have been omong the elite... maybe 2 or 3 good fighters he has faught in thier prime. Fedor UFC. It needs to happen we all want to know how good this guy really is!

Well Fedor in the UFC would be (A) Exciting for the fans, (B) a huge money maker. Plus yes he has beaten some the best, but alot of them are in the UFC. Mir, Couture, everyone wants to see him man handle Brock Lesnar, Hell a Gonzaga Match up would be good. Fact is they sign a contract and Fedor is a free agent and I don't think some promoters like that. Plus Fedor is a pricy fighter for Dana, some complain about how dana pays his own fighters, imagine him paying Fedor a mill just to show up and fight. Who knows what'll happen, the future is unpredictable.

it wont happen because dana is trying to make ufc like other pro leagues where the fighters are exclusive to that league. Besides there isnt anyone in the heavyweight division for fedor to fight. fedor fights in russia at the bodog tourney every year so ufc it won't be.
