Despite Mir being to much of a douche, I totally agree with him here. Fedor keeps saying he has nothing else to prove and it is quite sad to hear a fighter say such comments. If he has nothing to prove, then why is Fedor still fighting? Fedor is one hell of a fighter, one of my favorites but he doesn't have the heart of a fighter. First of all the Antonio we saw against him was not the same as we recently saw, and infections can cause problems. Big Nog was just man enough to take the fight and show up even though he had some serious health problems just before the fight. Show some respect.

I agree with everything Frank said in the interview although, Fedor is still the #1 heavyweight in the world no matter how much he is ducking the rest of the best heavyweights. Mir slipped in his training for Lesnar from the looks of it in the video. A lack of respect and he was big enough to admit it in the video. I still hope A. Dana and his stooges like Mir are pissed that Fedor did not think as highley of the UFC's heavyweight division as they do. Fedor will fight Broc, Broc will fight Fedor, Strikeforce will let Fedor fight Broc, only Dana and the UFC are stopping that fight. Dana wants it his way or its the highway. Frank Mir's got this idea stuck in his head that Fedor either needs to beat him or Lesnar to prove he's the best heavyweight in the world. There are several reasons that prove how ridiculously arrogant and delusional Mir is...
A) Mir beat Tim Sylvia but Fedor did as well (and in less time)
B) Mir beat a weakened Nogueira but Fedor did twice (when Nog was in his prime)
C) Mir got lucky against Lesnar the first time (and just lost his edge at 100 when Lesnar smashed his ugly face in). Therefore, the only achievement Mir has that Fedor doesn't is a win over a noob Lesnar (plus Mir would've lost had Brock not foolishly stood up)
D) Lesnar already has a loss, was unimpressive for most of the fight against Herring, and he lost round 1 to Couture. There is no evidence that proves Fedor needs to beat Lesnar to prove he is the best all-around heavyweight.
E) Fedor has 29 or 30 wins whereas Lesnar only has 4 and Mir doesn't exactly have a super impressive resume. He got owned by Brandon Vera.

Saying you have nothing to prove does not mean you won't fight other guys. It just means what he said. He has nothing to prove to anyone else but himself. He fights for himself. Not for money or fame or bragging rights. Fedor would fight any of these guys and, given time and contract, he will. Once he beats all the guys like Mir, he'll say the same thing he's sayin now.
