Belcher clearly won. Bad decision.

I'm going to have to re-watch this fight. Even though I was rooting for my countryman, Akiyama looked like he lost this fight.

Akiyama had more takedowns and on top of that Alan would have lost points for the low blow, its a good decision with everything put into factor

Great fight Akiyama held the centre of the ring and looked the busier fighter?. landed some eye catching shots and flashy take downs he won the fight good decision.

First of all.They did not take a point for the accidental low blow.Belcher landed more decisive shots.took less damage.and that is all there is to it.Bad bad decision no doubt from anyone who knows the fight game.I could care less who won.But i hate bad decisions.

belcher beat him with the stand up but the knock down and the take down is what cost him..... I agree with SST if
Belcher had a take down or knock down he would of won but he didnt.... was a great fight ...... fight of the night..

If the third round is weighted more than first two rounds, Belcher won this fight. But, all three rounds are divided equally. I just don't see how Belcher won the first two. Even the third round was very close, except that superman punch and a couple of heavy "thud" low kicks.

Belcher probably gained at least 20 pounds after weigh-in. He looked much taller and thicker than Akiyama. Anderson Silva will kill these two, though. I mean both of them at the same time in one cage. ROFL!
