BJ is definitely a skillful guy. Too bad he just can't beat GSP.

Kenny's good but not in the same class as BJ and Kenny knows it. Kenny does not and will not declare a rematch with BJ.

gsp walks around at 185-195vs bj's natural 155. 30lb difference. not skill difference

its a little bit of column A, a little bit of column B, to quote grampa simpson. the reason why the weight difference cause bj such problems is because hes always out of shape and that sucks against a stronger faster paced fighter. hopeful this fight will keep bj motivated to continue training hard because he is a beast when he comes fit obviously.

Oh Yes, Skill Too

30 lbs does make a difference, but not THE definative difference. I fought men that differed more than 30 lbs difference (both ways) in the 90's and weight was merely one of a myriad of factors~TrikaAdmin

30 lbs is an exaggeration, gsp does weigh 185 normally but bj penn is 165-170 normally. Plus GSP didn't exactly come in weighing 185 at ufc 94 because the day before he weighed 170, so he wouldn't even have been 180 when they got in the cage.

i am referring to body frame and bone structure. bj at any any weight over 155 is puggy and fat. he puts on excess weight to make the weight but his frame is built for 155. GSP is super lean at 170 and his true frame is 185 lean. huge difference in size even when they both weigh in 170.

gsp had a great game plan exploiting the size diferrence as well as bj's conditioning. but the 1st round before the exhaustion of bj was dead even. gsp couldn't take him down until bj got tired.

yes skils do have a factor when it is small great skill vs larger no skill but this case wasn't it. skills were matches up pretty evenly, just gsp being so much bigger and formulating game plan around it to wear out bj

I agree, 'interested', GSP is great, but he won't beat Silva at the heavier weight, skill being equal, size makes the difference. Speed X Size = Power
