I didn't listen to this but I can comment on Mir's statements about how Fedor needs to fight current ufc heavyweights in order to be #1. Since Mir got owned by Brandon Vera 3 years ago he only managed to put together a 3 fight win streak. The antoni hardonk win doesn't count for anything. Hardonk was 5-3 going into that fight. Then he beat Brock Lesnar when Lesnar was a complete noob and he practically said, "Here's my leg Frank, submit me." Now that Mir's been crushed by Lesnar in the rematch the first fight is a distant memory. Now he doesn't exactly have an edge over Lesnar. The Nogueira fight made him look good...except...against a punching bag...anybody can look good...because...a punching bag doesn't hit back...nor does it dodge punches. So Mir tkos him (after a decade of beatings which have taken a toll on his health) and suddenly Mir thinks of himself as an mma god. Fedor beat Nog twice when Nog was in his prime. Everybody except Mir knows that the more you get hit in the jaw the weaker it gets. Nogueira is a walking corpse. What else can be said? Mir beat Tim Sylvia. However, Fedor beat Tim in less time and more decisively. It was the beatdown of 2008. Mir's wins over Wes Sims don't mean s**t either. Wes Sims is nothing special. THEREFORE, why the F**K does Fedor need to beat Frank Mir in order to be #1? Why would he need to beat Brock Lesnar? Lesnar already has a loss. He beat Heath Herring but so did Fedor and we all know Fedor would destroy Randy Couture. Fedor would f**k Couture up for trying to cuddle with him up against the cage. Don't let Couture's dodging of Tim Sylvia's punches fool you. Tim Sylvia is a big sluggish ogre who sucks at striking and mma in general. Couture also has no jaw which could sustain punches from Fedor. Liddell ko'd him twice. My question to everyone is this...if Fedor is not the #1 heavyweight in the world...then who the f**k is???? Mir??? Lesnar??? Couture??? Gimme a f**kin break. It's not always about who you fight. It's sometimes just about how you win and Fedor doesn't disappoint. Couture is a "I'll wear you down for 15 or 20 minutes with my cuddling and warm embracing until it's easy enough to tko you" kinda guy, whereas Fedor is a "I'll either knock you out, choke you out, or break your arm off in the 1st round, just haven't decided yet" kinda guy...

In conclusion, Frank Mir is just lashing out at Fedor because Lesnar beat the s**t out of him and busted up his already ugly face which bruised Frank's precious ego. So he's trying to convince people that Fedor would lose to Lesnar too. Only I don't think he would since Lesnar looks pretty uneasy in the stand up. He still doesn't look too comfortable with boxing. Fedor would be more than happy to put Lesnar's chin to the test...

However, I'm expecting Lesnar to get his ass whooped by Shane Carwin anyways. So all this talk of Fedor vs Brock might not last much longer...

Mir doing what Mir does....

Mir, who I like, got destroyed by Brock after running his pie hole for months, so to save face you say the guy that just owned you is the best in the world! So does Mir think he is 2 then? Its one of those, if I can't beat them, then obviously no one can!

Simple, the best r in the UFC! To be the best you have to beat the best!

For the idiot that called Couture a cuddler you obviously have never clinched or grappled in your life! It is the ultimate way to break your opponents will! Anyone can get ko'd anytime, but having the will and fortitude to do what Couture does takes extreme strength and conditioning! Randy is a master strategizer and dirty boxer! He was the only one yet to even give Brock a challenge until Brock caught him with one of those hambones! Couture would f**k Fedor up!

I don't give a s**t if couture can run across the sahara desert without any water. It doesn't matter to me how good his strength or conditioning is. What matters to me is how entertaining a fighter is. At 102 we might see one of the worst main events of the year as Couture presses his sweaty body up against Nogueira's sweaty body to get up close and personal for 3 rounds. He gets in real close because he has no choice. If he stood and traded punches with people he'd get KO'd more often than not. I don't have to root for somebody just because they're old and out of retirement. I'd rather see Nogueira choke him out because no one is expecting it. Couture totally hasn't respected Nogueira to begin with. Before this fight he's talked about wanting to fight Lyoto Machida and Anderson Silva. He could only get one of those matches if he wins at 102 so he's totally looked past Nog as if he's nothing. I'd almost want Couture to win just to see him get KTFO by Machida or Silva. His wins over a mediocre fighter (Gonzaga) and one of the top 10 worst p4p fighters in mma history (Sylvia) have made his ego grow a little too big. The guy has called out Fedor, Anderson and Machida so far. Beating Tito Ortiz, Tim Sylvia, and Gabriel Gonzaga doesn't exactly indicate that he could defeat all the world's finest fighters.

...and your message title is ridiculous...based on MMA records Fedor is undisputedly the #1 ranked heavyweight and a top 4 p4p fighter.

If Mir, Couture, Lesnar, etc are so eager to fight Fedor then maybe they should not sign new contracts with the UFC when the time comes. People should have to go after Fedor not the other way around.

Fedor is only even considered because he only lost once but hes fought no one! Hes beat Nogeuira and Cro Cop a washed up Tim Sylvia and glass jaw Arlovski(who was winning that fight till he got caught) and your saying Couture has beat no one! Gonzaga damn near killed Cro Cop and i believe had won 6 fights in a row before Couture stopped him! He also beat Chuck,Tito,Belfort,Van Arsdale,Rizzo,Randleman, and Smith! As far as leaving the UFC to fight nobodys in a small San Jose show for no money yea that would be real smart! Why do you think Titos Back you idiot!? Its idiots like you that dont even know what MMA stands for!

Fedor never lost. Losing because of a cut is not a true loss. He avenged that one years later anyways. Couture has 8 legit losses and whether or not he's fought tougher competition is extremely debatable since Fedor has beaten 28 different guys whereas Couture has beaten only half that at 14 (3 of which Fedor beat as well). Fedor has faster and more powerful strikes, and he's a master on the ground with submissions (Couture has been submitted 3 times). His only weakness is arguably a fast striker but Couture would be too scared to stand and bang (he knows he'd get ko'd). Any way you look at it Fedor is at no disadvantage and Couture is in over his head. Both guys have fought good opponents as well as plenty of bad opponents. Don't give me that bulls**t about Gonzaga...he's a flash in the pan, just a big goon who has big power. Anyone who loses twice to Fabricio Werdum can't be all that good. And Fedor showed us all how to properly beat Tim Sylvia. Couture was caressing that disgusting loser for 25 minutes and couldn't finish him off. And if Arlovski fought against Couture the way he did against Fedor he would KO him bigtime.
