Strategic Striking

I see alot of fighters pop shotting and throw wild haymakers. That is gonna get their ass knocked out.

Throwing the jab sets combinations up, times your oppnent's attacks, and keeps your oppnent at the outside. Footwork is imperative. You see alot of people swinging wild because they're getting frustrated with the movement of their advisary. Case and point: the Quarry versus Starnes match. Quarry was chasing him instead of cutting him off. Mike Tyson was very effective in his matches because he used his jab, pressured his opponents to move, cut them off, and countered.

Kicks are great to tie into your game. Double up the jab step outside of your opponent follow threw with a kick. If your opponent moves in and out, and you miss the combonations with the hands, the kicks add up, slows your opponent down, and they hurt. Try tying in some straight punches with kicks. Set up you strikes as well.

Body shots are beautiful. Faints and fakes jabs and footwork set those up as well. When your opponent covers up his head from the stomach down he's vulnerable. Mix up you attacks and any one will go down.
