Absolutely form is essential. The clean is the simplist of the total body power moves, but can also wreck the body if done incorrectly. Proper warm up, proper form, proper rest, are all essential. If there is anything I can do to help please text me a trika3@sbcglobal.net and I hope you recover soon and well.~Trika - Trika Fri, 20 Mar 2009 23:03:52 +0100 ... http://www.kfight.net/Best-Lift-For-Overall-Strength-Explosiveness#comment-2231 hurt my back badly doing clean without proper form ....be careful - mjos Tue, 17 Mar 2009 18:33:43 +0100 reply to Mondo http://www.kfight.net/Best-Lift-For-Overall-Strength-Explosiveness#comment-1015 Thank you for the input. One should be cautious about doing the snatch--especially a novice in Olympic style lifting--due to the enourmous strain on the roatator cuff, espcially the suprispinatus. As fighters, we try to protect the shoulders from injury...one must weigh the practical fighting benefit from the lift vs. the risk of the lift. If one is proficient at the snatch, it can certainly do wonders for core muscles and for exposivity. Thank you again for the input~Trika - Trika Mon, 06 Oct 2008 14:06:04 +0100 I'd disagree and say http://www.kfight.net/Best-Lift-For-Overall-Strength-Explosiveness#comment-969 snatch pulls >>>> cleans - Mondo Fri, 03 Oct 2008 15:03:26 +0100
