Matchida outlanded matchida everyround one round even three times more then matchida. Ceasal peoples said he scored the fight based on the punches landed my matchida and not the leg kicks which I believe is ludacris since this is mma and not boxing. Compare the damage from matchidas punches to those of shoguns kicks and who did more damage? Yea rua got robbed but more importantly he showed how to beat matchida so I believe the matchida era to be over very soon. I do believe shogun shocked everybody...but to be honest i dont think he won the fight. The fight itself was super close and 1 thing i know for sure those kicks must of hurt, but everytime shogun hit him...machida always answered back. I gave first 3 rounds to machida and last 2 rounds to shogun. Everybody hating on Machida right now...but honestly he hasnt done anything wrong...if anything u guys should be mad at the judges. Also...i know u guys think u guys know everything about mma and all...but there are many things u guys dont know. Seriously the only reason most of u guys think shogun won the fight is because of the damm announcers talkin during the fight...but how many of u actually take the time to sit there and count how many strikes are thrown and how many are landed by each fighter? Im sure that 98% of u folks there dont do that. So seriously...some of u people just have to learn to keep ur mouth shut. For example, brettsky2002..."mashida" crucified shogun strike per strike? I think matchida vs rua two would be same basic concept. Matchida has the belt and no one thinks he should have it so he will look to put rua to sleep. He controlled the tempo; Machida did his little explosions with little damage. Shogun had the more power strikes and striked more often. He was the aggressor the whole fight were Machida had his little 2 second of attack each round. Now on Rua side he scored lots of points for leg kicks.. but leg kicks hurt and dont finish fights, they hurt ALOT...Alot but dont finish fights.. and wen thats all you have favour you lose, you can see in the punch exchange rua was scared and wanted no part in that, but.. Thats how it is dont leave it up the judges.. Rua was the aggresser, he hit him more and he didnt have a mark on him while Machida`s legs and body were brused his face was cut up and he limped out.
