UFC landscape was shaken up with news that UFC Middleweight #1 contender,
Vitor Belfort, would have to pull out of his fight for the Middleweight
title against the Middleweight king, Anderson Silva. Vitor had to
withdraw from the highly anticipated bout due to a shoulder injury he
sustained during training. Although it was just announced yesterday
afternoon that Vitor would be pulling out of the fight, Vitor sustained
the injury several weeks ago and continued to train using only one arm,
hoping that the injury would heal and he would be able to fight.

Akiyama is also likely to be on the menu for Wanderlei should he get
past Bisping. ... According to a Las Vegas source, the UFC would like
to make Wand-Akiyama on a card to be staged in Japan.
... No news yet on who is being considered for the loser of Wanderlei-Bisping, although Nate Marquardt could be a possibility.
