The doctors did a damn good job with those stitches - looking great!

Ya well for all fighters doctors give 3 times the amount of stitches then they would for regular folks like you and I. They keep them really tight so that it minimizes the scarring and so that it heals up faster and wont open up as easier.

It doesn't matter how many stitches he gets. I'll never forget that cut or the beating he recieved. pricless.

I think when he gets his rematch he will do alot better he had never fought a true champ someone with power and skill...once he got rocked he just went blank... now that he can watch video and knows how it feels....he will do better

I loved watching this guy get his face beat in.. Its a sport and anyone that comes in there with no respect for there opponent deserves what Diego got. I cant stand cockyness.. It's a sport shake the mans hand give all you got and fight with skill not anger it will make for a better fight. I bet we dont see him act like he's the best anymore.. Way to open his eyes B.J oh and way to open up his head as well, that was a nasty gash!!

Penn is a once in a lifetime fighter. Sanchez has tons of talent, and a huge heart, but he will never beat Penn. Diego is lucky that doctor's are as good as they as these days, because without them, he would never fight again, or look the same. He should take some time off, and maybe train strict jiu-jitsu and/or strict muay thai. He has all the tools, but needs more training. In the meantime, Penn will mop up every UFC lightweight. His only real competition is in Dream. Aoki, Hansen, JZ, Alvarez, Kawajiri. I would also love to see a welterweight Penn vs Nick Diaz in Strikeforce.
