Not long after the cancellation of Affliction “Trilogy”, Affliction has decided to get out of the fight game and once again partner with UFC as an official sponsor

Affliction opted to get out of the promoting business and, in a joint statement with the Ultimate Fighting Championship, announced it would become a sponsor of the UFC. The fate of the fighters under contract with Affliction is not known yet.

A shame but expected

It was somewhat expected, I would have gladly seen Affliction, Dream and Strikeforce teaming up taking on both Japan and the U.S. With a combined rootster and effort they could easily have brought down the UFC which really only have fighters from the US and UK with a few Brazilians.

Oliver, Your an idiot! Strikeforce, WEC and UFC are all owned by Dana White. Dream is at best a undercard to UFC fights.

Something fishy, there was so much animosity between these organizations just weeks ago...this may be a strategic move to seal the Fedor deal and save face!

OG Rob you are an idiot, Dana is the president of the UFC not the owner, granted he may own a percantage of it but the ZUFFA corporation are the ones who really own the UFC and WEC, the people he works for, DANA does not own the WEC and he and ZUFFA do not own Strikeforce, they have nothing to do with strikeforce, or Dream.
